> “Why I am Here,” Presentation Mastery Level 1 speech (Ice Breaker), by Chris – BEST SPEAKER

> “What Happened to You Still Matters,” Pathway Level 1 (Evaluation and Feedback), by Dora

EVALUATIONS:

> This is a great speech. You involved the audience, referencing specific members of the club. Your message was clear and focused. You physically demonstrated the progression in toastmasters. Pace was great.  vocal variety, humor. Your speech was casual but high quality. Get rid of the filler word “so” etc. – Susan

> You did great with your composure, content and delivery. Challenge you to speak a lot and incorporate the pathways to speak with objectives. – Mark

> It is one of your best speeches because I feel you were talking to us. You cadence is really good. You didn’t rush through it. Like the part you said the ACES and asked the audience to repeat after. You finished with a strong closing. Speech is a conversation to the audience. – Mark

GRAMMARIAN COMMENTS: Susan

A reminder to everyone: be ok with silence, and get rid of filler words – em, now, so, and, I would say… really… kind of…

Good phrases:

–          “took a step further into introspection.”

–          “The number one fear is butterflies, not spiders.”

–          “Definition of leadership depends on who you ask – a leader or a follower.”

Adjectives like “Authentic” and “Unique” can not have amplifiers. They are either yes or no.
